Children are naturally full of energy and creativity—sometimes leading to trouble, like when I once decorated my brother’s bunk bed with marker pens at age five. But for one group of kids in Surrey, UK, their creativity turned into something far more heroic. During an Easter egg hunt organized to raise money for a boy with leukemia, the children suddenly heard a helicopter overhead. Looking up, they realized it was a police helicopter searching for two suspected burglars who had fled on foot after splitting up.
From their vantage point, the children could clearly see the direction the suspects had run. Instead of simply watching, they came up with a clever plan. They all lay down on the ground and formed a large human arrow pointing toward the fleeing men. At first, the officers in the helicopter were confused.
